the red flood - the concept behind the paintings |
||
|
Sabin Aell's "the red flood" is the antidote against the bankruptcy of the soul, a
visual mantra to fight the widespread collective disillusionment of life on
earth.
We all suffer heavily from a sticky smog of paranoid thoughts and feelings, covering our planet like a slimy second skin. It clogs our brains, cripples our feelings and perverts the planet's life patterns. The "the red flood" is the cosmic agent against the cold slow death we have imposed on mother earth. Her sick body is hit by a red wave of thick love, restructured and tuned to a radical new set of life frequencies. Sabin Aell works on her paintings with sand, dirt, graphite, pigment and an acrylic collage of international newspapers fragments: |
- The red pigment stimulates true passion and tigerishness in our souls. - Sand and dirt represent the weary skin of the planet. Hit by the red flood it becomes alive and vibrant again. - Graphite and newspaper fragments represent the foul excretions of human paranoia. The red flood overruns and erases them completely. Sabin Aell wants us to remember our suppressed deep wishes. Buried by soulless education, economic pressures and social conformity, we have forgotten what we really live for. Her paintings give us a vision of a red wave that flood our brains and hearts, washing away the stains of pain, sorrow, fear and lost feelings. the red flood - it's on its way.
